The hare and the turtle

Once upon a time in the animal’s world, there was a really arrogant hare. She told everybody that she was the fastest (And maybe it was true), but it wasn’t necessary to show off.  

All the days, this hare laughed at the turtle, just because this animal wasn’t as fast as her.  

Hare - Hahahaha come on, Turtle please don’t run too fast, because you are going to get tired of going so fast- Of course it was sarcasm.

The turtle was tired of this situation, so she decided to make a strange bet with the hare.

Turtle- Ohhh I’m the fastest turtle in the world, and I’m sure I can win you a race.
Hare- Are you kidding me? You are the slowest animal.

Turtle- No, I really can do it, so let’s put our bet on that stone.

All the animals wanted to watch the race, so they went to this place. The zebra marked the line, and the elephant counted.

The race started among big applauses.

Of course the hare was relying on her speed, so she decided to left the turtle run away for a long time while she was resting

Animals: What are you doing?

Hare: Come on, she is just a turtle, of course she is going to lose.

The hare slept for one hour, so the turtle passed by her side and took advantage.
When the hare woke up, the turtle had already finished the race. 
That day, the hare learnt a lesson that she would never forget: You shouldn't make fun of the others because you can take a surprise.
